Revision Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This Revision Policy explains how EsteQuality evaluates requests for free revision treatment after a hair transplant procedure performed under its care.

The purpose of this policy is to create a clear, consistent and medically responsible framework for patients and the clinic. It is designed to:

• support patients when an additional corrective procedure is medically appropriate
• define the conditions under which a free revision may be considered
• separate expected healing, natural hair loss and medical factors from procedure-related concerns
• document clinical decisions through a structured assessment process
• prevent open-ended or unclear expectations about future cosmetic outcomes
• protect patient safety by ensuring that any revision is medically suitable and donor-area appropriate

Hair transplantation is a surgical medical procedure. Although modern techniques can produce natural and long-lasting results, the final outcome may be affected by donor quality, recipient-area characteristics, existing hair loss patterns, post-operative care, medical conditions, medications, trauma, lifestyle factors and the patient's natural biological response.

For this reason, EsteQuality does not promise or guarantee a specific density, appearance, hairline result or cosmetic outcome. A free revision may be considered only when the EsteQuality Medical Team determines that additional treatment is clinically justified under this policy.

3. What a Revision Means

A revision is an additional procedure intended to address a clinically documented concern related to the original hair transplant outcome.

Depending on the case, a revision may involve:

• improving a limited area of insufficient growth
• correcting a medically identifiable density concern
• improving a localized area where the original outcome did not develop as expected
• making a medically appropriate adjustment within the limits of donor availability and patient safety

A revision is not automatically equivalent to a second full hair transplant. It is a limited corrective procedure. The treatment area, donor source, technique and graft range are determined by the EsteQuality Medical Team after clinical assessment.

The approved scope of the revision will be recorded in the official Revision Assessment Report. The revision cannot exceed the scope documented in that report.

5. General Eligibility Principles

To be considered for a free revision, the patient must generally meet all of the following conditions:

• the original procedure must have been performed through EsteQuality
• the patient must have completed the required healing and growth period
• the patient must have followed the post-operative care instructions provided by the clinic
• the patient must have provided requested follow-up photos or videos on time
• the concern must be evaluated by the EsteQuality Medical Team
• the concern must relate to the original treated area
• the patient must remain within the official revision eligibility timeline
• the patient must have sufficient medically suitable donor resources
• the patient must not have undergone external interventions that materially affect the treated area without EsteQuality's written approval

Eligibility is not automatic. Meeting the timing requirements does not guarantee approval. The final decision is made after medical evaluation and documentation review.

7. Final Clinical Assessment at Month 12

The 12th month after the original procedure is the standard point for Final Clinical Assessment.

At this stage, the EsteQuality Medical Team reviews the patient's documented progress and current result. The assessment may include:

• comparison of pre-operative, post-operative and 12-month photos
• review of video records where available
• evaluation of the originally treated area
• evaluation of transplanted hair growth
• assessment of natural hair loss in untreated areas
• assessment of donor area condition
• review of aftercare compliance
• review of medical history and medication updates
• consideration of patient concerns

The purpose of the 12-month assessment is to determine whether the result can be considered final enough for revision evaluation.

Hair transplant growth may vary from patient to patient. Some patients continue to see maturation in texture, thickness and coverage beyond the early visible growth period. However, month 12 is used by EsteQuality as the standard point for formal review and decision-making under this policy.

At the end of the Final Clinical Assessment, the EsteQuality Medical Team may determine that:

• no revision is medically required
• additional observation is appropriate
• a paid additional treatment may be considered for new or unrelated hair loss
• a free revision may be approved under this policy
• the case is not eligible because the concern is outside the policy scope

The result of this assessment should be communicated to the patient in writing.

9. Revision Timing Rules

The revision timeline is designed to give the patient a fair opportunity to complete the process while preventing indefinite revision obligations.

9.1 Months 0-12: Healing and Follow-Up

During the first 12 months, the patient must follow the standard post-operative care and follow-up process.

This period allows:

• initial healing
• shedding and regrowth
• donor area recovery
• maturation of transplanted hair
• identification of any concerns that require monitoring

Revision decisions are generally not finalized before the 12-month assessment unless there is an exceptional medical reason.

9.2 Month 12: Final Clinical Assessment

At month 12, the patient sends required photos or videos for analysis. The EsteQuality Medical Team reviews the case and determines whether a revision is medically required under this policy.

If no revision is required, the case is closed under the free revision process unless the clinic requests further observation.

If a revision is approved, the Revision Assessment Report is prepared and shared with the patient.

9.3 Months 12-18: Scheduling Period

If the free revision is approved and the patient wishes to proceed, the patient must contact EsteQuality and confirm a mutually suitable revision date no later than the 18th month after the original procedure.

The scheduling requirement is part of the eligibility conditions.

If the patient does not confirm a revision date with EsteQuality by month 18, the free revision right expires.

9.4 Final Procedure Deadline: Month 24

Once the revision has been approved and scheduled within the eligibility period, the revision procedure may be performed on the mutually agreed date, provided that the surgery takes place no later than 24 months after the original procedure.

The free revision procedure cannot be scheduled for a date after month 24.

9.5 Postponement or Cancellation

If the patient postpones or cancels a confirmed revision appointment without a valid medical reason, EsteQuality is not obligated to provide additional free revision dates beyond the eligibility period.

If the clinic must postpone the procedure for medical, operational or force majeure reasons, EsteQuality will make reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative date within the policy limits.

11. Donor Area Requirements

Donor hair is a limited medical resource. Every revision decision must protect the long-term condition of the donor area and the patient's overall appearance.

Before approving a revision, the EsteQuality Medical Team evaluates:

• donor density
• donor quality
• previous extraction pattern
• healing and scarring
• suitability of scalp donor hair
• possible suitability of beard donor hair where medically appropriate
• whether additional extraction may create visible thinning or donor damage

If sufficient and medically suitable donor hair is not available, a free revision may be declined even if the patient is otherwise within the eligibility period.

EsteQuality does not treat body hair as an automatic substitute for insufficient scalp or beard donor supply. If scalp and beard donor resources are not suitable, body hair may be declined based on medical judgment, expected texture match, growth characteristics, cosmetic predictability and patient safety.

The clinic is not required to perform a revision that may damage the donor area or create an unreasonable cosmetic or medical risk.

13. Situations That May Affect or Exclude Eligibility

Revision eligibility may be affected or excluded if the outcome is materially influenced by factors outside EsteQuality's control.

These may include:

• failure to follow post-operative instructions
• repeated failure to send requested follow-up photos or videos
• smoking, alcohol use or other lifestyle factors contrary to medical advice
• scratching, picking, rubbing or damaging the recipient area during healing
• infection or inflammation caused or worsened by non-compliance
• use of unapproved topical products, oils, chemicals or treatments
• external procedures performed without written approval
• undisclosed medical conditions
• undisclosed medications or hormonal treatments
• trauma, burns, accidents or injuries affecting the scalp
• later progression of natural hair loss in untreated hair
• unrealistic expectations outside the original treatment plan
• requests made after the eligibility period

EsteQuality may request additional information, medical reports or updated photographs before making a decision.

15. Natural Hair Loss After Surgery

Hair transplantation moves selected donor hairs into thinning or bald areas. It does not stop future natural hair loss in untreated native hair.

After the original procedure, the patient may continue to lose non-transplanted hair due to genetic hair loss, aging, hormonal changes, medical conditions or other factors.

This can create the appearance of reduced density even when transplanted hair has grown appropriately.

Free revision does not cover:

• new thinning in untreated areas
• progression of native hair loss behind or around the transplanted area
• future crown or mid-scalp loss not part of the original plan
• aesthetic changes caused by the natural course of androgenetic alopecia

The EsteQuality Medical Team will evaluate whether the concern relates to transplanted hair growth or to later loss of native hair.

Patients may be advised to consider medical hair-loss management where appropriate. Any medical treatment recommendation must be made individually by a qualified healthcare professional.

17. Third-Party Procedures and External Interventions

The clinical assessment may be affected if another clinic or provider performs a procedure on the original treated area.

Without EsteQuality's written approval, the following external interventions may affect or terminate free revision eligibility:

• another hair transplant procedure
• PRP or similar injection treatments
• exosome or stem-cell marketed treatments
• microneedling
• scalp micropigmentation
• laser treatments
• surgical correction
• dermatological procedures affecting the treated area
• any other intervention that may alter the scalp, grafts, donor area or clinical appearance

This rule exists because external procedures can change the medical condition of the treated area and make it impossible to determine whether a concern is related to the original EsteQuality procedure.

If the patient receives third-party treatment, EsteQuality may request records from the external provider before making any decision.

19. Travel, Accommodation and Related Expenses

Unless EsteQuality confirms otherwise in writing, a free revision covers only the approved medical procedure.

It does not automatically include:

• flights
• accommodation
• airport transfers
• visa expenses
• meals
• companion expenses
• lost income
• additional medical tests
• medications outside the agreed scope
• extended stay costs
• costs caused by postponement or cancellation

Any support package, travel assistance or accommodation arrangement must be confirmed separately in writing.

21. Final Authority and Medical Discretion

All revision decisions are made by the EsteQuality Medical Team.

The team may approve, decline, postpone or modify a revision plan based on:

• medical suitability
• donor availability
• patient safety
• clinical findings
• documented follow-up
• expected benefit
• risk of additional surgery
• whether the request falls within this policy

EsteQuality is not required to perform a revision that the medical team considers unsafe, unnecessary, unrealistic or outside the approved scope.

23. Contact

Patients who believe they may require assessment under this policy should contact EsteQuality through the official communication channels provided after their procedure.

When contacting the clinic, patients should include:

• full name
• date of original procedure
• contact details
• current photos taken according to clinic instructions
• a short description of the concern
• relevant medical updates since the procedure

EsteQuality may request additional documentation before starting the assessment process.
